NEWS RELEASE International Education Week to be celebratedBaldwin City, Kan. — Baker University will celebrate International Education Week Nov. 12-16, focusing on the theme "Striving for a Healthier Future Worldwide." Here's the schedule of events: Monday, Nov. 12Spanish Movie Night, 8-10 p.m., Owens Audio-Visual Room. Spanish Club is hosting the showing of "Volver," directed by Pedro Almodóvar. Tuesday, Nov. 13Spanish and German language tables, 11:30 a.m., Harter Union cafeteria Wednesday, Nov. 14People to People Fair Trade Sale, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Harter Union. Products are provided through SERRV International, a nonprofit organization which promotes the social and economic progress of people in developing regions of the world by purchasing and marketing their crafts using fair trade practices. Proceeds support Baker's Milan-Harris Award for Promoting Diversity. Spanish Poetry Night, 6 p.m., Mabee Hall 400. The Spanish Club will host the event. Study Abroad/International Student forum, 7 p.m., Mabee Hall 400. Return study abroad students and international students will present a brief presentation about their study abroad experience or their home country. Thursday, Nov. 15Belly Dancing, 11 a.m-1 p.m. Harter Union. An international high school student will demonstrate and teach the art of belly dancing.
