University sponsoring drive for bone marrow donor registration

Baldwin City, Kan. — Baker University is sponsoring a bone marrow donor registration drive at 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, at Harter Union to help find a donor match for the four Murry brothers — Sean, Patrick, Danny and Timmy — from St. Louis. The brothers were born with a rare blood disorder, which requires monthly blood transfusions and several medications.

If you are between 18 and 55 years old and in good health, you are eligible to register at the drive. Baker's Office of Greek Life and Student Health Center is hosting the drive, staffed by student volunteers and DKMS staff members. DKMS is is a national bone marrow donor center.
