Jazz vocalist to perform at May 2 concert

Baldwin City, Kan. — Renowned jazz vocalist Kevin Mahogany, a 1981 Baker graduate, will perform with the Baker Jazz Ensemble at the Chris Grubb Memorial Scholarship Concert at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 2, at Rice Auditorium on the Baldwin City campus.Kevin-Mahoganyforweb

Mahogany will sing several jazz standards, including "Kansas City," "I've Got You Under My Skin," "Every Day I Have the Blues," and "All Right, OK, You Win."

The concert will feature several other big-band arrangements in addition to the international recording star's portion of the program.

Admission to the concert is free, although donations will be accepted toward the Chris Grubb Memorial Jazz Saxophone Scholarship fund at Baker.
