Baker's Overland Park campus to host networking event

Overland Park, Kan. — Baker University's School of Professional and Graduate Studies will host a networking workshop from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at its Overland Park campus, 7301 College Blvd. The event, part of Baker's professional development series, is free and open to the public.

The workshop will help participants develop a 30-second "elevator speech," learn how to build rapport when networking, determine when and how to use connections, and learn how to handle rejection. The attendees also will receive information about upcoming networking opportunities and local organizations to expand their network.

The deadline to register online at www.bakerU.edu/careerworkshop is Sunday, Oct. 20. For more information, email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call (913) 491-4432 or (800) 955-7747.
