Two seniors honored as Teachers of Promise

Baldwin City, Kan. — Two Baker University School of Education students — Lindsey Brown and Bryan Kindle — were honored as Teachers of Promise on Nov. 23 at Wichita. Brown, a senior from Overland Park, Kan., and Kindle, a senior from Eudora, Kan., are both majoring in secondary education and mathematics. The Teachers of Promise award is presented by the Kansas State Department of Education to recognize, recruit and retain the best Kansas teachers for Kansas children. Teacher education students are selected by their respective Kansas college or university education faculty for the prestigious designation.
