Masterworks Concert set for April 4

Baldwin City, Kan. — The Baker University choirs and Johnson County Chorus will perform its Masterworks Concert, featuring the Midwest premiere of Mark Hayes' Requiem, at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 4, at Rice Auditorium on the Baldwin City campus. Admission is free.

Cathy Crispino and Anita Cyrier will conduct the choirs. The 35-minute work for chorus and chamber orchestra will feature baritone soloist Joshua Lawlor. The program will also include Ron Nelson's Fanfare for a Festival, Mozart's Ave Verum Corpus, and Festival Piece on 'St. Anne' by Eugene Butler, former director of the Johnson County Chorus.
