Wichita, Kan. — Baker University, which has served working adults in the Wichita area for 10 years, will have an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 29, at its renovated School of Professional and Graduate Studies facility, 3450 North Rock Road, Building 400.

The expanded facility has 10 classrooms. New programs offered through the Wichita site are Master of Arts in Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution, Master of Liberal Arts, online Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Business Administration.

Founded on Feb. 12, 1858 in Baldwin City, Baker University is celebrating its sesquicentennial in 2007-2008. The university, the first in Kansas, will recognize its 150th birthday during the open house.

Baker has an overall enrollment of 4,000 students at its four schools — College of Arts and Sciences, School of Nursing, School of Education and the School of Professional and Graduate Studies. Approximately 2,900 students are enrolled in SPGS programs, including 500 in Wichita. Baker also has SPGS programs in Overland Park, Topeka and Lee’s Summit, Mo.
