Baker’s music program receives accreditation
Baldwin City, Kan. — Baker University’s music program has been granted full accreditation by the National Association of Schools of Music, the national accrediting agency for music.
“It confirms the quality of our programs,” said John Buehler, music department chair. “The accreditation is an important step in meeting widely established standards for college music teaching.”
NASM is recognized by the United States Department of Education as the agency responsible for the accreditation of all music curricula. It includes 610 schools of music, primarily at the collegiate level.
