Former Baker standout selected to all-time team
Baldwin City, Kan. — Former Baker University football standout George LaFrance, a 2002 Baker Athletic Hall of Fame inductee, has been named the third greatest player in the 20-year history of the Arena Football League.
LaFrance, a 1987 Baker graduate, retired from the AFL in 2000 with six ArenaBowl championships, three ArenaBowl MVPs, two league MVPs and more than 30 AFL records. The New Iberia, La., native was selected as an offensive specialist.
The all-time AFL team was chosen by the league’s 20th Season Historical Committee.
