Washington, senior pastor of the Asbury Mount Olive United Methodist Church in Topeka, will be the keynote speaker at Baker University’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. celebration at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 24, at Osborne Chapel on Baker’s campus. The title of Washington’s speech will be “Choose to See” from Luke 16: 19-31. Originally from Atlanta, the Rev. Washington integrates community affairs, church life and Christian witness in the development of a relationship-oriented ministry. Washington graduated from Gammon Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta. She earned her doctorate in ministry at United Theology Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. ### |
