Baldwin City, Kan. — The Rev. Michael Chamberlain will speak at Baker University’s baccalaureate service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church.

Chamberlain is the Superintendent of the Kansas City District of the Kansas East Conference. As an ordained minister in the conference, he has served in local churches in Yates Center and Topeka, where he was senior pastor of First United Methodist Church from June 2000 to July 2007. From 2002 to 2006, he also was chaplain of the Kansas House of Representatives.

The offering from baccalaureate will support the ministry and mission of the First United Methodist Church of Baldwin City.

The commencement ceremony for undergraduate degrees for College of Arts and Sciences, School of Education and the School of Nursing is 1 p.m. Sunday at the Collins Center. The ceremony for School of Education graduate degrees is 4:30 p.m. at the Collins Center.
