Baldwin City, Kan. — Wildcat Welcome for Baker University students on the Baldwin City campus is Saturday, Aug. 23-Tuesday, Aug. 26. The first day of classes is Wednesday, Aug. 27.

Here is the Welcome Week schedule:

Saturday, Aug. 23
7:15-9 a.m.: Breakfast, Harter Union cafeteria
11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Lunch, Harter Union cafeteria
1-3 p.m.: Activities fair, Hartley Plaza
1-3 p.m.: Campus Work Job Fair, Mabee Gym
5-6:15 p.m.: Dinner, Harter Union Cafeteria.
6:30 p.m.: Sorority recruitment, Harter Union lobby.
7 p.m.: Fraternity recruitment, Harter Union lobby
9 p.m.: Student Activities Council presents “Movie Night on the Lawn,” south of Mabee Hall.

Sunday, Aug. 24
9:45 a.m.: Meet university minister, the Rev. Ira DeSpain, lower level of the Clarice L. Osborne Memorial Chapel.
10:15 a.m.: Chapel Service, Osborne Chapel.
10:30 a.m.-noon: Brunch, Harter Union Cafeteria.
1 p.m.: Greek Life Block Party, Dearborn Street, north side of Harter Union
3 and 3:45 p.m.: "Money Matters," Private Dining Room, Harter Union
    Dave Hill, president of MidAmerica Bank in Baldwin City, offers tips on managing student finances
    "Dorm Deals," Bird Room, Harter Union
    Get tips on how to live fabulously in the dorms without breaking the bank.
    "Weekend Life," Mungano Room, Harter Union
Information on entertainment in Baldwin City, Kansas City and Lawrence
3-4 p.m.: Tours of Collins Library with Kay Bradt,
3-5 p.m.: Community Service sponsored by the Student Activities Council.

8 p.m.: Multicultural Affairs reception with Ron Holden, Harter Union lobby
9 p.m.: Student Activities Council welcomes comedian Michael Palascak, Rice Auditorium.

Monday, Aug. 25

8 a.m.-5 p.m.: Founders Bookstore opens, Harter Union
10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.: "Can’t Sing, So What!," Private Dining Room, Harter Union

1- 3 p.m.: What it takes to be a Wildcat. Mandatory meeting discusses campus standards followed by the "Making College Count" presentation sponsored by Monster.com                                                                          5:15 p.m.: Buses leave for a "Night at the Royals" from Harter Union. Ticket and transportation are provided.
7:30 p.m.: SAC Game Night, Harter Union lobby
