Baldwin City, Kan. — Seventeen high schools participated in Baker University’s 10th annual Marching Band Festival on Wednesday, Oct. 15.
De Soto, which received top ratings in the marching band and color guard competitions, received the Jeremy Frye Grand Championship Trophy.
Here are the results for the marching bands from the Class 1-5A event:
I rating: De Soto High School Marching Wildcats; Louisburg High School Marching Wildcat Band.
II rating: Atchison High School Marching Redmen; Baldwin High School Marching Bulldog Band; Bonner Springs Marching Band; Emporia High School Marching Pride; Mill Valley High School Jaguar Marching Band; Osage City High School Marching Indians; Perry-Lecompton High School Marching Band; Spring Hill High School Marching Broncos; Tonganoxie High School Marching Chieftains.
III rating: Cass Midway Viking Marching Band; Eudora High School Cardinal Regiment; Ottawa High School Marching Cyclone Band Prairie View High School Marching Buffaloes; Pride of Paola Panther Marching Band; Turner High School Marching Bears.
