Job creates friendship

Before getting the recycling job on campus, neither juniors Alex Coffey nor Matt Ingram knew each other.

"One thing that I love about Alex is that he's always making fun of me in some sort of way,” Ingram said. “And I'm able to go back at him."

Ingram said that the two like to joke with each other and that brings more fun to the job. For fun, Coffey and Ingram said that they bring an iPod and sing along to the music.

"It's actually just kind of a fun job," Coffey said. "We get to drive around, and we see people that we know around campus."

Director of Natural Areas and Professor Emeritus of Biology Roger Boyd is in charge of the recycling at Baker and directs Coffey and Ingram. He said that he has had no trouble with the two and that they show up on time every Tuesday and Thursday.

"They are one of the best teams I have ever had," Boyd said.
