Facts + Snacks = Get on track graphic

Baker University’s School of Education has a strong reputation for producing outstanding educators. Baker alumni are consistently nominated for the Kansas Teacher of the Year award, and many of the area’s most recognized leaders in education hold master’s and doctoral degrees from Baker University.

In 2015, Baker graduates won the National Distinguished Principal of the Year Award, Missouri National Distinguished Principal, Milken Educator Award, and Kansas Horizon Award. But more important than the awards, these teachers and administrators are influencing young people and making a difference in their communities.

The School of Education will hold informational events at 5:30 p.m. on their campuses in Overland Park, Topeka, and Wichita. Facts + Snacks = Get on Track outlines how Baker graduate programs help education professionals become better educators and enhance their career options.

  • Overland Park, Tuesday, Sept. 20
  • Topeka, Wednesday, Sept. 21
  • Wichita, Tuesday, Sept. 27

Faculty and staff will be on hand to explain costs and financial aid options, curriculum, and program format and options. Alumni and current students will host a Q & A session.

Baker graduate education programs offer one course at a time and meet one night per week or online. It is an ideal structure for teachers and administrators who spend their days in the field and then want to use their class time to solve real-world problems with like-minded peers. Baker offers these programs:

  • Master of Arts in Education
  • Master of Science in Special Education
  • Master of Science in School Leadership
  • Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership (PK-12)
  • Doctor of Education in Leadership in Higher Education
  • Ed.D. Instructional Design and Performance Technology Concentration
