Restricted Licensure Admissions Requirements
Admission into the restricted licensure program is a four-step process. Call 913.491.4432 and ask for the restricted licensure program specialist, who will walk you through the process.
Step 1: Transcript Evaluation
To be eligible, you must have earned a bachelor’s degree in a content area or the equivalent content hours within that degree. The following content areas are available:

Step 2: Pass the PRAXIS II (Content Knowledge) Test
Submit scores to Baker University's restricted licensure program specialist.
Step 3: Submit the Following
- Application form
- Current resume and three references
- Two letters of recommendation
In addition, you will attend a personal interview.
Step 4: Secure a Teaching Position
Once accepted into the restricted licensure program, you must secure a teaching position in a Kansas school district and pass your content knowledge test before you are enrolled in restricted licensure coursework.
