Restricted Licensure Admissions Requirements
Admission into the Restricted Licensure program is a three-step process. Call 913.491.4432 and ask for the Restricted Licensure Admissions Coordinator, who will walk you through the process.
Step 1: Transcript Evaluation
To be eligible, you must have a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher and a bachelor’s degree in a content area or the equivalent content hours within that degree. The following content areas are available:
- Art
- Biology
- Business
- Chemistry
- English
- Foreign Languages in Spanish, French or German
- History/Government
- Journalism
- Mathematics
- Music
- Physical Education
- Physics
- Psychology
- Speech/Theatre
Step 2: Submit the Following
- Application form
- Current resume and three references
- Two letters of recommendation
In addition, you will attend a personal interview.
Step 3: Secure a Teaching Position
Once accepted into the Restricted Licensure program, you must secure a teaching position in a Kansas school district.
