Nursing Prerequisite Course Requirements
The following 62 hours of general education prerequisite courses are offered on the Baldwin City campus. They may also be transferred from a two-year or four-year regionally accredited college or university.
Oral Communication (3 credits)
English Composition (3 credits) or LA101 and 102 (6 credits)
Baker transfer students who have had LA101 and 102 as part of the 62 credits will need an additional three-hour elective.
Humanities or Fine Arts (15 credits)
To include ethics and no more than six hours in any one of the following disciplines: art, music, literature, philosophy, religion, history, theatre, foreign language
Social Sciences (9 credits)
Must include the following: general psychology, developmental psychology, principles of sociology or cultural anthropology.
College Algebra (3 credits)
Statistics (3 credits)
Sciences (19 credits)
Must include the following: anatomy and physiology with lab, microbiology with lab, chemistry with lab, nutrition. If you don't have 19 hours of science, you must take biology.
