Program Format

Each concentration is a collection of five courses chosen from a variety of classes; these courses may be taken concurrently with the BBA, BSM or BBL core program or following completion of the core.

  • For BSM students, the marketing, international business, finance, human resources and information systems areas of concentration include a total of 15 credit hours, 12 of which will be taken in addition to the coursework required for the BSM core program. To earn an accounting, health care administration, or conflict management and dispute resolution concentration, all 15 credit hours must be obtained outside of the BSM core program because the BSM core does not include an accounting, health care administration, or conflict management and dispute resolution course.
  • For BBA students, the marketing, finance, information systems and accounting areas of concentration include a total of 15 credit hours, 12 of which will be taken in addition to the coursework required for the BBA core program. To earn a human resources, international business, health care administration, or conflict management and dispute resolution concentration, all 15 credit hours must be obtained outside of the BBA core program because the BBA does not include a human resources, international business, health care administration, or conflict management and dispute resolution course.
  • For BBL students, the marketing, finance, human resources, information systems and accounting areas of concentration include a total of 15 credit hours, 12 of which will be taken in addition to the coursework required for the BBL core program. To earn an international business, health care administration, or conflict management and dispute resolution concentration, all 15 credit hours must be obtained outside of the BBL core program because the BBL core does not include an international business, health care administration, or conflict management and dispute resolution course.
  • Except for conflict management and dispute resolution, courses are administered completely online and are seven weeks long. All courses are offered year-round.
    • CMDR courses are held on the Overland Park campus.
  • The requirements for the concentration will ensure that there is no meeting conflict with classes or learning teams already scheduled in the degree programs.
  • Students enroll in these courses online through their student portal.
