The Wildcats improved to 22-28 on the year, while the Ravens end its season at 10-32. Baker will next take on the loser of the No. 3 Peru State vs. No. 2 Evangel game, which takes place tonight at 7 p.m., the contest between Baker and that losing team will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 3 in Joplin.
The 'Cats scored first in the contest with a RBI single to right field by Josh Zach that scored Brett Lechien.
The Ravens then went up 2-1 on the Wildcats with two runs in the bottom of the third against starter Thomas Hawkins.
BC added another run in the fourth to go up 3-1, but Baker stormed back with three in the sixth and one in the seventh to hold on.
It's the Wildcats first postseason win since the 1999 season and Hawkins earned the win, improving to 6-3 on the year and closer Kyle Pattrick picked up his ninth save.
The Wildcat offense had eight hits on the day off of starter Adam Burns, who threw all nine innings. Justin Bye and Kyle Pattrick held the Ravens scoreless in relief in the final two innings.
Lechien and Zach each had two hits on the day and Gabe Greenbaum, Cort Brennon, Taylor Whittum and Lake Johnson supplied the other hits.
