Lasneske Named NAIA Scholar-Athlete

LEWISTON, Idaho – Baker University starting pitcher Ryan Lasneske became the only player from the Wildcat baseball program to be named a 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, announced this week at the NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho.

Lasneske was one of 257 baseball players from across the NAIA to earn the honor and Hastings (Neb.) led all institutions with 11 individuals on the list.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.

The Leavenworth, Kan., native posted a 3.97 ERA in 10 starts this season for the Wildcats and struck out 43 batters, good for third on the team.
