The Great Plains League is a highly competitive collegiate wood bat league comprised of six of the strongest summer teams in the Midwest.
The Blues will compete against the following five other teams in the GPL including the Topeka Golden Giants, Topeka Senators, Rossville Rattlers, Junction City Brigade and Midwest A's.
Under head coach Chris Faddis and general manager Michael Moore, the Blues began its season on June 1 and runs through August 1.
Sauder Field will host 12 dates. The team also consists of 24 players from schools such as Washburn, Coffeyville CC and Missouri State.
I believe this is an exciting collaboration between the city of Baldwin, the Blues organization and Baker," said Baker head baseball coach Phil Hannon. "This will be another opportunity of baseball bringing folks together with great entertainment and we are thrilled to have that here at Baker."
Parking for all games out at Sauder Field is free and ticket prices are as follows: $5 for adults 18 and over, $3 for students under the age of 18, senior citizens and military with ID and children under the age of 5 are admitted free.
