Rainy day, KU shines defeating Baker, 16-0
LAWRENCE, Kan. - The score didn't reflect the overall meaning on Wednesday night at Hoglund Ballpark. Yes, the Wildcats did fall 16-0 in five innings, but they also gained meaningful knowledge heading into the thick of conference play.
"Coming into a beautiful facility like this and playing against some of the top competition in the Big 12 means a lot to our players and coaching staff," said head coach Phil Hannon. "We'll bounce back from this, our guys can use this as a learning tool heading into our weekend games with Graceland University," Hannon said.
Baker (7-10, 4-4) will travel to Graceland University (8-15, 5-5) on Saturday afternoon and return home Sunday to close out the season series with the Yellowjackets.
