Brandon Truitt led the way offensively going 3-for-3 with three RBI’s and a homerun. Matt Abel, Steven Stewart and Josh Zach each recorded two hits in the contest.
“Coming from behind after that long first inning was huge for us,” said head coach Phil Hannon. “I’m happy we were able to finally get the games in after some of the weather we had.”
Josh Reed led the Wildcats in game two going 2-for-2 at the plate, while designated hitter Justin Lane went 1-for-3 with two RBI’s.
The Wildcats return to action this weekend when they face Central Methodist for a 1 p.m., doubleheader on Saturday. Baker will also face Lindenwood at 1 p.m., on Sunday.
