Cummins named HAAC Pitcher of the Week

- Sophomore Chris Cummins was named HAAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday.
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - Baker Wildcats left-hander Chris Cummins was tabbed HAAC Pitcher of the Week the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
The Corona, California native recorded two complete-game victories against Graceland University and Benedictine College. Cummins racked up 16 strikeouts with just five walks while posting a 1.93 ERA. On the season, Cummins owns a 3-0 record with a 2.83 ERA.

Wildcats to face Benedictine Monday afternoon
The Baker University baseball team picked up its second doubleheader sweep of the season on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats (11-12, 7-5) are entering the core of HAAC play in the coming weeks. Baker will be back in action
Monday afternoon when they travel to Benedictine College to finish up the season series with the Ravens.
Offensively, Jared Herbert and Nick Peterson have had the hot bats for the Wildcats. Herbert currently owns a .375 batting average while Peterson has provided the offensive punch with 19 RBIs on the season.
Sophomore LHP Chris Cummins has lived up to his preseason billing. Cummins currently owns a 3-0 record with a 2.83 era. This past week Cummins had two complete-game victories against Graceland and Benedictine.

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University baseball picked up two huge conference victories this past weekend sweeping Benedictine College Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Chris Cummins pitched a complete game, and the Baker baseball team escaped with a victory in game one.

LAMONI, IOWA - The Baker University baseball team split a doubleheader with Graceland University for the second consecutive day on Monday afternoon. Baker won the first game 2-0 and dropped the finale 8-2.

Baker men split with Graceland University

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - It was a tale of two stories on Sunday afternoon, as the Baker men dropped the first game of a twinbill, 4-3 and won the nightcap 7-6 in extra innings.
Game one saw senior pitcher Dustin Moomau throw four innings giving up three runs on seven hits. Graceland scored three runs in the top of the third before Baker was able to inch back and tie the game up 3-3 in the bottom of the sixth. Graceland countered the Baker effort notching one run in the top of the seventh to seal the victory, 4-3.

LAWRENCE, Kan. - The score didn't reflect the overall meaning on Wednesday night at Hoglund Ballpark. Yes, the Wildcats did fall 16-0 in five innings, but they also gained meaningful knowledge heading into the thick of conference play.

Jayhawks set to host Baker Wednesday evening

- The Wildcats will face the Jayhawks at Hoglund Ballpark Wednesday evening.
LAWRENCE, Kan. - The Baker baseball team will travel just down the road on Wednesday evening to face the Kansas Jayhawks at 6:00 p.m., from Hoglund Ballpark. Baker (7-9, 4-4) is coming off a split with Missouri Valley College this past weekend. Wednesday's game will be broadcast via live audio webcast at www.allinbroadcasting.com with veteran Baker play-by-play man Tom Hedrick calling the action.
