Gibson records sixth double-double as Baker women roll
HILLSBORO, Kan. - The Baker women's basketball team improved its season record to 7-5 on Friday evening by defeating Tabor College 62-55.
Three players scored in double digits. Junior Emily Gibson recorded her sixth double-double of the season, scoring 22 points while pulling down 10 rebounds, Brittany Hines chipped in with 12 points off 4-7 shooting from the field and 2-4 from beyond the arc, and Aubree Gustin added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
Baker forced the Bluejays into 19 turnovers, stealing the ball 11 times in the contest.
The Wildcats will be back in action Saturday when they face Sterling College, 8-3, at 1 p.m. Sterling comes into the contest ranked 25th in the NAIA DII national rankings.
