Junior Courtney Goodrum (pictured) sparked the Baker offense scoring a career high 15 points coming off the bench and Brittany Hines continued her consistent offensive output netting 13 points.
Poor shooting all around was the story though. Evangel shot just 28 percent (15-for-52) from the field, while Baker finished at 37 percent (16-for-43).
Both teams committed 23 turnovers, but the 22 bench points the Wildcats recorded helped Baker secure its first victory in the Ashcroft Center since 2005.
Last season both teams split home matches, but historically Evangel has dominated Baker owning a 41-8 all-time advantage.
Baker will return to action on Thursday evening when they host Central Methodist University at 5:30 p.m., from the Collins Center.
