All-HAAC

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Three Baker University seniors grabbed all-Heart of America Athletic Conference women’s basketball honors on Sunday evening as Brittany Hines (Hutchinson, Kan.) and Emily Gibson (Kansas City, Mo.) were named to the all-HAAC second team while Aubree Gustin (Topeka, Kan.) received honorable mention.

Gibson leads the Wildcats with 14.3 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Hines averages 14.1 points per game while Gustin checks in with 10.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.

No. 7 Baker will return to action on Wednesday evening when it travels to No. 2 Lindenwood University (20-9, 15-5 HAAC) for the opening round of the Heart of America Athletic Conference playoffs. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m., from St. Charles, Mo.

“We need to build on the win we had on Saturday and start our new season come Wednesday,” said head coach Susan Decker. “We have the talent to make a run in the HAAC playoffs, we just need to play with a lot of heart and enthusiasm coming off our Senior Day win this past weekend.”
