Holton High School standout Macy Wallisch inks with Baker

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Macy Wallish a 6’3 post player from Holton High School has officially signed her Letter of Intent with the Wildcats for next season.

Wallish was named to the Jackson County all-league team in 2011 after leading her team to the 2011 4-A State Championship with an undefeated 26-0 record. Wallish is also a member of the track and field team and qualified for the state championships in the women’s triple jump. She was also named an alternate on the 4x400 team the past three seasons. The Denison, Kan., native plans on majoring in Biology (Pre-Medicine).

“We are extremely excited about the signing of Macy,” said head coach Ben Lister. She has the size and athleticism we areMacy Wallisch High School looking for. Both her high school coach Jon Holliday and myself believe that her best basketball is still to come. She comes from a state championship program, and we value that. After being recruited by a lot of quality programs, Macy’s commitment to Baker University is something we as a staff are very proud of.”
