“We’ve got some big games ahead of us still,” said head Baker women’s basketball coach Ben Lister. “We just need to worry about ourselves and win a couple games down the stretch.”
Atanmo also led the Baker defense with 12 rebounds, good enough for her ninth double-double of the season. Free throws also played a key role down the stretch for Baker (7-20, 5-10 HAAC) as the Wildcats converted just 4-of-14 free throw attempts.
MidAmerica Nazarene (19-8, 12-3 HAAC) had four players score in double figures and as a team finished 25-for-61 (41 percent) from the floor.
Baker returns to action on Feb. 18 against Graceland University at 2 p.m., in Baldwin City.
