The Wildcats spent the afternoon volunteering at the event for local grandparents and their grandchildren in the Baldwin City area.
In conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce, Baker helped organize and run various games and other activities that allowed grandparents to spend qualify time with their family.
Events included ring toss, moonwalk, face-painting, snow cones, just to name a few that the team helped facilitate.
The team enjoyed spending time in the community in an effort to continue to strengthen the support and positive relationship between Baldwin City and Baker University athletics.
“The girls did an awesome job and I am very proud of the effort they put forth,” said Baker head women’s basketball coach Ben Lister. “They worked hard and interacted very well with those involved and they even showed off some of their creativity in the face painting! We want to be visible in Baldwin City and involved in this community. This is just one of a few different things we are going to try and do throughout the year to show we care about Baldwin City and the people that live here.”
