Baker will next take on Ottawa University, Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. in Atchison, Kan. Baker improved to 3-1 on the year, while Park fell to 2-2.
The Wildcats received a season high 22 points from forward Rashida Simpson and four assists each from Alisha Fanshier and BriAnna Garza to grab the eight-point win.
Despite 26 turnovers and shooting just 41.2-percent from the floor, Baker was able to knock down seven three-point baskets and held the Pirates to just 33.3-percent shooting from the field and 0-2 from three-point land.
They held leading scorer Brianna Beridon to just 13 points and caused 20 Park turnovers. They also outrebounded Park, 39-37.
Kyrstie Ehm and Garza tied for second on the team in points with seven and Shea Shoemaker knocked down a team high two three-point baskets.
