Caitin Modesett, a 5'10" shooting guard out of Friendswood High School in Friendswood, Texas has committed to Baker for next season.
Modesett is a four-year varsity starter for Friendswood where she has twice led them to Area championships and a Bi-district championship.
During her first three years, she was named to both the 1st Team All-District and the All-Galveston County Team twice.
During her junior season campaign, she averaged 12 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists per game and 3 steals. She hopes to eclipse the 1,000 point mark this season and is a National Honor Society member as well as being named to the All-District Academic Team all three years of high school.
Caitlin decided to attend Baker over schools such as Delaware State, University of Pennsylvania and Florida Southern. She plans to major in mathematics.
"Caitlin is going to be a great addition to our program moving forward," said head coach Ben Lister. "She has tremendous feel for the game and is an aggressive scorer with the ability to attack off the dribble and shoot from deep. She competes at a high level and will be an asset on both ends of the floor.
"Caitlin fits what we need on the perimeter and knowing that we are going to have her here for four years is extremely exciting. She is also an excellent student, and a great young person. We are looking forward to her career here."
