No. 13 Wildcats Run Streak to 15

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The No. 13 ranked Baker University women's basketball team picked up its 15th-straight Heart of America Athletic Conference victory on Saturday afternoon, with a 63-32 win at Evangel.

The Wildcat defense held Evangel to an abysmal nine points in the second half and held the Crusaders to just nine field-goals in the contest and outrebounded Evangel, 51-33.

Baker posted three double-digit scores, as BriAnna Garza scored 14 points, Kyrstie Ehm dropped 13 and Shea Shoemaker added 10.

The Wildcats were 8-of-12 from the free-throw line and hit five three-point field goals. Macy Wallisch had eight points along with a team-high 11 rebounds and a block.

Erick Simpson and Rashida Simpson each had six points and Rashida finished with eight rebounds.

The 'Cats return home for senior night next Thursday, Feb. 27 to take on Peru State at 5:30 p.m. inside the Collins Center. The Wildcats will honor seniors Ciarra Washington, Garza and Shoemaker.
