The 24-5 Wildcats went 17-1 in the HAAC and will host 8-20 Evangel inside the Collins Center. The Crusaders also went 5-13 in the conference season to earn the No. 8 seed.
Baker defeated Evangel twice this season, the first time coming at home on Jan. 18, 78-76, and then went on the road back on Feb. 22 and defeated the Crusaders, 63-32. The 32 points by Evangel was the lowest point total of the season for EU.
The Wildcats will enter the game with three double figure scorers, as BriAnna Garza leads the squad averaging 14.7 points per game, teammate Kyrstie Ehm is second at 12.4 points per game and Shea Shoemaker averages 10.2 per contest.
The 'Cats also feature the leagues top shot blocker in Macy Wallisch with her 88 blocks and 3.03 per game and she is the fifth-leading rebounded in the HAAC, at 7.45 rebounds per game.
The Crusaders Allison Swanson is the second leading shot blocker in the HAAC at 1.57 per game and a total of 44.
Attention Baker students, the first 100 Baker students to walk through the gates at all three HAAC tournament games will be admitted free admission, compliments of the Athletics Department. Students must have a valid Baker ID to earn free admission. All adults over the age of 18 will be admitted for $5, while all other students with a valid student ID will be admitted for $2. Children under the age of five and those with a NAIA pass will be admitted in Collins Gym for free.
Thanks to the President's office, while supplies last all Baker fans that wear orange or Baker apparel will receive free popcorn at the game.
