BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – For the third-straight week, the Baker University women's basketball team held on to the No. 13 spot in this week's NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 poll.

The Wildcats finished a historic 2013-14 regular season with a 24-5 overall record along with a 17-1 HAAC record in which they won 17-straight HAAC games and captured the HAAC regular season title outright for the first time since 1983.

Baker enters this week's HAAC Conference Tournament as the No. 1 seed and will host No. 8 Evangel this Thursday, Mar. 6 at 7 p.m. inside the Collins Center in the first round.

The 'Cats also took home some major conference awards this week, as senior point guard BriAnna Garza was named the HAAC Women's Basketball Player of the Year and sophomore Macy Wallisch was awarded the HAAC Defensive Player of the Year and head coach Ben Lister was named the 2013-14 HAAC Women's Basketball Coach of the Year for the second-straight season.

Garza was also named to the 2013-14 First Team All-HAAC and teammates Shea Shoemaker earned a spot on the Second Team All-Conference, Kyrstie Ehm was named to the Third Team All-HAAC and Wallisch represented Baker on the Honarable Mention All-Conference squad.

Five teams were ranked No. 1 during the 2012-13 season: Westmont (Calif.), Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.), Oklahoma City, Vanguard and former member Lubbock Christian (Texas)... Former member Union (Tenn.) leads all schools in all-time No. 1 rankings with 53, while Oklahoma City (46), Vanguard (39) and former member Southern Nazarene (Okla.) (15) are the only other programs with 10-or-more No. 1 rankings... Since the start of the 1999-2000 season, only Oklahoma City and Freed-Hardeman have been listed in all 176 polls... Vanguard has appeared in 143-straight...
