BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University women's basketball team finished its historic 2013-14 season with its highest-ever ranking in the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 poll, coming in at No. 11 in the postseason poll.

The Wildcats ended the year 27-7 in the second round of the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball National Championship Tournament in Frankfort, Ky., to No. 16 ranked Bethel (Tenn.).

The Wildcats captured its first HAAC regular season title since 1983 and won an impressive 17-straight HAAC games on its run to the title.

Baker also posted its second-straight HAAC Coach of the Year honor given to head coach Ben Lister, along with the HAAC Player of the Year BriAnna Garza and HAAC Defensive Player of the Year Macy Wallisch.

Garza was also named a NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Third Team All-America honor and she was named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete.

Baker is also the highest ranked team in the HAAC, as conference rival MidAmerica Nazarene comes in at No. 13.

In 2014-15 Baker will return 12 players from its HAAC regular season championship team.
