Ice cold shooting plagues Wildcats against Avila

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – One word comes to mind when you look at the game as a whole: Dismal.
The Baker women’s basketball team (13-12, 8-7 HAAC) played one of its worst basketball games of the season Thursday night, but still managed to keep the final deficit at seven points with a 56-49 loss.

Hot shooting pushes Evangel past Baker, 63-52

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker women’s basketball team took a 3-0 lead to open the game, but from that point forward it was all Evangel as the Crusaders grabbed a lead and never looked back.
Baker (13-11, 8-6 HAAC) shot just 6-for-22 (27 percent) in the first half, ultimately putting the Wildcats in a hole from which they couldn’t recover.

Gustin and Gibson rough up reeling Central Methodist

FAYETTE, Mo. – At this point in the year any time you can win a game on the road it’s a positive. Baker did just that on Thursday evening defeating Central Methodist 53-43 extending the Eagles losing streak to nine straight games.
Baker (13-10, 8-5 HAAC) had two players in double figures as Emily Gibson scored a team-high 18 points and 12 rebounds. Aubree Gustin added 16 points as Baker pulled away late in the second half to secure the victory. Gibson’s double double was her sixth of the season.

Gibson scores team-high 25 in loss to Lindenwood

ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Wildcats never led on Saturday afternoon, falling 76-62 to Lindenwood University.
Emily Gibson led all Wildcat scorers with a team-high 25 points while shooting 10-of-18 from the field. Gibson also pulled down eight rebounds and recorded three blocks in the contest. Brittany Hines was the only other Wildcat to score in double figures with 12 points in the contest.

Gustin paces Baker past Benedictine, 64-61

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker women’s basketball team got back on track Thursday evening defeating Benedictine College, 64-61.
Three players scored in double figures with Aubree Gustin leading the way netting 18 points and pulling down 11 rebounds for her fifth double double of the season. Emily Gibson and Brittany Hines each added 13 points of their own. Gibson also pulled down 11 rebounds in the contest to record her fifth double double of the season.
