Baker competes in first bowling event at Mid States Classic
Women's bowling officially began its 2009 campaign this past weekend at the Mid States Classic in Wichita, Kan. Freshman Caitlin Campbell led the way, averaging a score of 169.70 through 10 games, with a total of 1697 pins placing her 15th in the field of 70 bowlers. Freshman Samantha Lehr also had a strong showing, averaging 159.80 and taking down 1,598 pins placing her 26th overall.
Baker as a team placed 11th out of 12 with 8,866 total pins. Wichita State Guerrero won the event with 12,685 total pins.
Baker University also won the sportsmanship award, as voted on by teams and coaches.
Baker will be back in action this weekend when they travel to the Greater Ozark NCAA Invitational.
