Wildcats Ranked Ninth Nationally in Preseason Pollfootball stronger than ever

College Fanz NAIA preview magazine has ranked Baker University at No. 9 in the preseason along with being named one of the dark horses in the national title picture.

"If you eliminated the top five teams from the postseason, I would lean toward someone like Baker or Shorter winning the national title," stated magazine contributor Jason Dannelly.

Experience and talent on both sides of the ball with a potent offense and athletic defense are expected to lead to a run at the Heart of America Athletic Conference title. Baker features DB Colton Miller, QB Mack Brown and RB Richie Bryant in the magazine's "Super 72" section, which highlights the top players in the nation.

HAAC teams joining Baker in the top 20 are Lindenwood (No. 3), MidAmerica Nazarene (No. 10), and Missouri Valley (No. 18). Baker will face both Missouri Valley and MidAmerica in the first two weeks of the season.
