The Wildcats (2-4, 2-3 HAAC) will look to bounce back from a 48-14 defeat against No. 6 Lindenwood last weekend. Baker allowed season highs of 490 passing yards and 564 total yards. It was the most yards given up by the Wildcats since yielding 504 in a 52-30 loss at Lindenwood on Oct. 10, 2009.
Benedictine (4-2, 4-2 HAAC) has been solid all season. The Ravens enter play ranked 20th nationally in the NAIA Football Coaches’ Top 25 poll. Benedictine defeated Avila University last Saturday, 47-7.
The Wildcats were early risers this past week. Head coach Mike Grossner moved all practices to 6 a.m., in order to better prepare the team for Saturday’s early wake up call.
“I think our guys are a resilient group,” said head coach Mike Grossner. “We’ll be ready to go on Saturday in Atchison.”
Freshman Scott Meyer continues to lead the Wildcats offense averaging 54.8 yards per game with five touchdowns. Senior Matt Brock leads the BU defense with 11.8 tackles per game, good enough for fourth nationally.Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m., with a live audio broadcast beginning at 12:30 p.m. Click here to listen live.
