BU football inks DeGraeve and Heller

Recruits

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Baker University head football coach Mike Grossner has announced the signing of two key recruits for the 2011 football season. 6-foot-1 inch quarterback Jake Heller (Lenexa, Kan.) and 5-foot-11 wide receiver Logan DeGraeve (DeSoto, Kan.) have officially signed National Letters of Intent with the Wildcats.

Heller a St. James academy product is coming off a stellar senior season with the Thunder. In his final game of the season Heller passed for 440 yards with five touchdowns en route to being named the Offensive MVP in the Kansas Class 4A District 3 playoff game against DeSoto High School.

DeGraeve, a highly touted wide receiver out of DeSoto looks to make an immediate impact heading into the fall.  Logan was the State Power Lifting Champion for his weight class in 2010.

“To have these guys sign this early is a rare deal,” said head coach Mike Grossner. “Having two impact players this early in the recruiting period benefits our team immensely.”
