Wildcats picked third in 2011 HAAC football coaches’ preseason poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Baker University football team was picked third in the 2011 Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Preseason Coaches’ Poll, released Monday afternoon at the annual Media Day festivities at Kauffman Stadium.
Baker received 75 out of a possible 100 voting points to finish No. 3 overall. Missouri Valley College (89 points) and MidAmerica Nazarene University (100 points) rounded out the top three teams. The Wildcats edged Benedictine College by a 75-73 margin.
No. 23 Baker will open its season on August 27 against No. 10 Ottawa University in the Fifth Annual Victory Sports Network First Down Classic.
