Fairley Named HAAC Defensive POW

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – After picking off Culver-Stockton three times on Saturday, No. 13 ranked Baker University’s junior defensive back Joshua Fairley was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Following a three-week break, Baker returned to the gridiron to claim its sixth win of the season in a 29-9 triumph over Culver-Stockton. The Wildcats are now 6-2 overall and 5-2 in the HAAC.

A junior from Overland Park, Kan., Fairley collected his first interceptions of the season on Saturday, while also recording three tackles and had three pass deflections.

He will now represent the conference in contention for the NAIA weekly defensive POW award, which will be announced on Monday afternoon.
