BU Moves up in Poll Again

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – For the fourth straight week, the Baker University football team jumped in the NAIA Football Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, this week one spot from No. 14 to No. 13.

Baker improved to 6-2 overall and 5-2 in the HAAC with a 29-9 road win at Culver-Stockton last Saturday.

The Wildcats will now prepare this week for a showdown at No. 18 Benedictine College this Saturday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m. in Atchison, Kan.

Baker has defeated BC six straight times and hasn’t lost to the Ravens since the season opener in 2005 in a 31-27 loss. In 2011, the Wildcats took down Benedictine, 10-7, at Liston Stadium. For a look at the entire poll, click here.

NOTES: Marian's (Ind.) No. 1 ranking marks the seventh time - fifth-straight - the Knights have received the top spot since the program was established in 2006 ... The top four remained unchanged for the fifth-straight week, marking the longest stretch since former-NAIA member Sioux Falls (S.D.), Carroll (Mont.), former-NAIA member Lindenwood (Mo.) and Saint Francis (Ind.) held Nos. 1 - 4 for eight-straight polls in 2009 (April 20, 2009 - Oct. 19, 2009) ...
