Purdum enters his fourth season with the Jets in 2013. He has been one of the top snappers in the league in his three years for the AFC East squad.
In 55 games as a Jet, including three playoff games in 2010, he has made 488 snaps, 275 on punts and 213 on placements without a snap skipping to its holder or sailing over the punters helmet. He has no fumbles charged to him in his career.
He played four years for the Wildcats and graduated in 2007. The Jets finished 2012 with a record of 6-10.
"We are so proud of Tanner for his accomplishments in his professional career," said Baker head football coach Mike Grossner. "He has worked very hard to be the best at his craft; which only has 32 jobs available in America. He is in a very elite group of people. The Jets have stepped up and rewarded him for his ability and hard work. We are very happy for him and his family."
