Avila finally scored in the second quarter on a 30-yard field goal by Andy Meyers, then the Eagles found the end zone with 2:30 to go on a Kelwin Burke Jr. touchdown run of five yards.

The 'Cats scoring wasn't over in the first half yet, as Clark had his second touchdown of the game as he burned the Avila secondary and raced to a 57-yard score. Then with under a minute left in the half, Morse tossed his final TD of the half to Tyler Hatcher for an 18 yard score.
