Zieler will join the Wildcat football program in the fall of 2016 after a two-year church mission and coach Grossner is thrilled to bring on the talented player.
"What a great day for the future of Baker University football," Grossner said. "Jake will serve a church mission and join us for the 2016 season. He comes from a tradition rich small school program in the mountains of Arizona.
"He has family ties to the NFL (Todd Heap-Ravens); as well as Baker University (Darrell Lindsey 70's). Jake is a tremendous football player who will make a huge impact in all ways upon returning from his mission. We are grateful for his commitment early to BU!"
Zieler was a two-way player at St. John's where he racked up 1,172 all-purpose yards last season as a senior, throwing for 226 yards, rushing for 240 and four touchdowns and he caught 24 receptions for 517 yards and seven touchdowns.
On defense, he had 45 solo tackles along with 26 assisted tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and an interception.
