BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – 2013 HAAC Coach of the Year Mike Grossner announced the signing of standout wide receiver Jaylan Addison of Chapin HS in El Paso, Texas on Thursday.

Addison caught 64 passes for 1,202 yards and 15 touchdowns his senior season at Chapin and for his career he accumulated 3,586 yards receiving which put him No. 4 all-time in Class 4A Texas HS football.

"Jaylan is one of those special young guys," said Grossner. "He put up some unbelievable numbers in Texas high school football history. He finished in the top ten for career receiving yardage in Texas all divisions. I stayed on him through the recruiting process and he felt real comfortable coming to Baker University.

"He signed with us sight unseen, as he will be visiting in the near future. That tells you something about the trust and loyalty of this young man. We have two of his former teammates playing for us now; which really helps when recruiting guys from that area. His skill set should bring a lot to the table for us offensively and in our return game. We are very excited about Jaylan jumping on board with the Wildcats."
