OTTAWA, Kan. – The NAIA’s Game of the Week lived up to the hype, as No. 18 Baker University came into No. 11 Ottawa’s home turf and took home a tough 27-20 victory to open up 2012 with a win.

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Five consecutive winning seasons, including five Top 25 rankings in the final poll, have Baker University’s football program poised for a run at a Heart of America Athletic Conference championship and berth in the national playoffs in 2012.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Baker University received 80 points and was picked third in the 2012 HAAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll, announced Tuesday at the annual HAAC Football Media Day at Kauffman Stadium, home of the Kansas City Royals.

Former USC running back Dillon Baxter signs with Baker University

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Baker University head football coach Mike Grossner has announced the signing of Dillon Baxter, a former running back for the University of Southern California.

Grossner flew to San Diego this past weekend and signed Baxter on Sunday afternoon in his home.

“I’ve been aware of Dillon since high school,” Grossner said. “I’ve had a good relationship with Rolando Rivera at Mission Bay High School where Rivera coached Baxter in 2009 when he was named the National High School Player of the Year.”
