2011: Appearing in 10 games as a junior, he lead the team with a total of 78 tackles including 2 sacks, along with 1 interception, 3 pass deflections, and 1 fumble recovery. In the season opener against Ottawa he 7 tackles, 1 interception, and a pass deflection. In a win against Central Methodist, he had a season high 16 tackles, 9 of which were unassisted. He later added 13 tackles against rival, MidAmerica Nazarene, then had 12 more tackles including 7 which were unassisted in a win over Benedictine.

2010: Appeared in 1 game as a sophomore against Lindenwood University.

2009: As a sophomore he appeared in 8 games and had 49 tackles and 1.5 sacks. In the season opener against Missouri Valley, he registered 8 tackles, 6 of which were unassisted, and then added a season high of 12 tackles against Culver-Stockton. He also had 10 tackles and 1 sack in a win over William Jewel College.

2008: As a freshman he appeared in 11 games as a freshman and had 39 total tackles, of which 26 were unassisted. In his first game as a Wildcat against UT Martin, he registered 4 total tackles, and then added 5 more tackles against Culver-Stockton. Later, he had a season high 7 tackles against William Jewel College and ended the season with 4 tackles against Morningside college.

PERSONAL: Ryder Lee Werts was born in Lawrence, Kan., and is the son of Bob and Deb Werts…Has 2 siblings: Melanie (26) and Mitchell (21)…Played football at Free State High School and led the Firebirds to the State-Semifinals in 2007…Named first team All-Conference LB and first team All-State LB…Chose Baker University over Butler CC, MidAmerica Nazarene, Emporia State, and Washburn because it was close to home…Majoring in Sociology.
